“Do the work”

‘Skyvibe’ Astrology Forecast for November 2023

Krishna Dodds

2023 still has some astrological transformations in store for us all.

The first half of November is shaping up to be a time of facing even more of the shadow aspects of self and releasing the parts of our lives that no longer align with us.

With the Sun, Mercury, Mars, and the New Moon all in Scorpio, we can expect radical developments this month.

We get to be the changemakers for ourselves and the future generations that come after us.

We don’t have to stay locked into patterns and behaviours that have been modelled to us or have been taken onboard as protective mechanisms.

We get to choose who we want to be, and how we want to show up in the world-which subsequently opens up the space for our children to do the same.

The Scorpio planets call us to go within and to attend to anything that has been hiding in the dark corners of the psyche or emotions that have become trapped within the body.

It can be confronting to “do the work”, yet once we allow ourselves to venture into this (often times), unchartered territory, we can emerge feeling empowered and unshakeable in our renewed sense of Self.

Scorpio is known as the investigator (amongst other things), so take the time get to the bottom of anything that has been lurking in the shadows (within and without) and take control of the areas of any part of your life that requires resolution or solution.

November is the perfect time to release anything that doesn’t resonate with your higher self and soul into the alchemical fires of powerful Scorpio.

Release and renew is a perfect mantra for this period of time.

Saturn ends its retrograde period on November the 5th, after a whopping four and half months in what appears to be a backwards motion.

As Saturn starts to move back up towards the degree it went retrograde at (7 degrees for those who like details), we should start to feel less restricted and more open to achievements coming our way. We still need to be disciplined and committed to our goal, yet there is a sense that we can overcome obstacles or challenges more easily.

Anything that has stalled over the past few months, should slowly start to gain more momentum from November the 5th, and will start to bear fruit by the 8th of February 2024.

Once Saturn is in direct motion, we may feel drawn to undertake a holistic discipline such as Qi Gong or meditation and commit to strengthening our connection with spirit and our intuition.

A great time to expand upon our psychic senses in a grounded way.

Venus moves into her home sign of Libra on November the 9th, helping to increase our connection with others and bringing a sense of balance to our relationships.
Venus is “at home” in the sign of Libra, as this is one of the signs that she rules.

Relating to others and seeing their perspective will help to increase intimacy and a general feeling of well-being within the dynamics of those we love the most.

In general, Venus in Libra will influence us to be diplomatic in the way we approach people and situations and can play a big part in helping to resolve any misunderstandings or conflicts that were brought to the surface during October’s eclipse gateway.

Venus in Libra will also encourage us to see beauty in places that we may not ordinarily see them and will motivate us to show the love and acceptance that we show others, to ourselves.

Much healing can occur if we view ourselves and others through the eyes of love.

Mercury enters Sagittarius on November the 10th and will go a long way in lifting our spirits after the intensity of the past few months.

Mercury in Saggy will see our thoughts turn to adventurous pursuits and the desire to travel and explore new people, places, and ideas.

Mercury may feel challenged in Sagittarius as there are opposing forces at work.

Mercury is analytical and detail oriented, while Saggy wants to get to its destination as quickly and as easily as possible. For success with this duo, combine the “think big” vibration of Sagittarius with the cleverness and quick wittedness of Mercury ruled Gemini.

As both of these signs value freedom, we will be encouraged to think for ourselves and seek truth in our communications.

On the 13th of November we have a powerful New Moon in Scorpio.

In the lead up to the New Moon, you may feel as if you are purging. Letting go of all that’s come to pass in preparation for a new phase in your life.

The waning phase before this lunation may feel like a metaphorical death of sorts. We cannot hold onto anything and everything if we wish to create space for new experiences.

In keeping with the theme of the death and rebirth cycle of Scorpio, we must have the courage to release what has become toxic and stagnant.

Just because something is familiar, it doesn’t mean that it’s the best option for us.

Reflect upon what you desire to bring into your world and how you would like to live and check into see what you may need to start working on to move toward this.

As the great poet Rumi wrote, “The wound is the place where the light enters you.” Meaning, that if we are courageous and vulnerable enough to confront the shadowy places within, we will eventually find the light that dwells inside of us all.

As I said at the beginning of this article; November is a powerful month to do some deep work before the year ends.

Take the dive within, face your fears, and revel in discovering your inner magick.

The Sun and Mars make a move into fun loving Sagittarius on the 23rd and 25th consecutively.

These two powerhouses will help us to expand our horizons, take risks, see life as an adventure, and zoom out to view our circumstances from a bigger picture perspective.

If you have been dilly dallying or waiting for a sign to take action, this bold and energetic combo, may be just what you need to shake off the cobwebs and re-engage with yourself and life.

The optimistic nature of Sagittarius will be fuelled by the Sun and Mars. Both of these planets (well the Sun is actually a luminary), will be driven by a quest for truth and purpose, and will bestow a fun-loving and playful vibe to us mere mortals.

Such a perfect gift from the cosmos after all of the hard work we’ve put in!

The month ends with a Full Moon rising at 5 degrees in the sign of Gemini on November the 27th.

Having the courage to speak up and communicating our truth will be a major theme of this FM phase.

I know from personal experience and studies that I have undertaken, that lack of communication or communication without deep listening, is the number one cause of relationship breakdowns.

This can be relationships, friendships, work colleagues, family etc…

If we want to resolve an issue, set boundaries, or have our needs met etc….we need to first allow ourselves to be vulnerable enough to have difficult conversations, and then make decisions around what our options are if our words are falling on deaf ears.

Our voice is a big part of who we are. It’s important that we feel confident to take up space with it and not repress it-which can cause all kinds of issues.

Words and language have great power!

The Full Moon energy is indicating that some of us may have let something build up to the point where resentment is seething under the surface and our words pour out like verbal vomit.

(Thanks to Mars in the opposite sign of the Moon.)

Don’t let it get to this!!

If you need to have a conversation with someone, find ways to approach it in a level that is appropriate for you.

Write it down in dot points. Practice the conversation in front of a mirror or with a trusted friend.

Remember that we have the Venus in Libra (a fellow air sign), on our sides this month.

The element of air is all about understanding, comprehension, and the ability to reason.

We have a lot of positive placements in our corner that back our ability to mediate and find middle ground.

A final word on the Gemini FM is to be mindful of the information that you’re absorbing. There is so much happening out there in the world, on top of what we are experiencing personally.

Taking in too much information can overstimulate our senses and put our nervous system into overwhelm.

Feel into your own capacity and what you are willing to listen to and take on.

Disconnect from anything that doesn’t support your health and wellbeing.

It is a big month astrologically!

Yet if we work with the planets instead of against them, we can make much progress.

The first half of November may feel intense and heavy in parts, yet the second half takes us into a completely different energy.

One that gives us a respite from the heaviness that sometimes accompanies self-growth work.

I will leave you with the following quote to ponder…

“Fear always screams loudest when your magick is closest. So press ahead.”
