This month’s full moon falls in the earth sign of Taurus. The full moon is a time of illumination-one where the subconscious mind and hidden emotions make their way to the surface to be healed. It is a time of tuning into our felt senses to identify what is showing up for us.

Themes that will be prominent in the sign of Taurus will centre around self-worth and value, our finances, possessions and income, and how we can use our inner resources to bring stability and security into our worlds.

The full moon phase shines a light on the things in our life that are working for us-it may be a time of celebration or success as projects, goals and situations are brought to fruition. On the flipside we will also be shown what we need to release. The things that haven’t worked out and where adjustments need to be made so that we can move forward unencumbered by anything that holds us back.

If we sit quietly we can gain much information regarding what would be wise to move forward with and where we need to remove our focus from certain people, places, situations and possessions.

Taurus is a fixed sign that likes stability and comfort. Uranus making an aspect to this full moon will show us where we have become too comfortable. Where comfort and security have stopped us from evolving and led to stagnancy. Sometimes we need to pushed out of our zones of familiarity so that we can open ourselves up to new experiences and grow from them.

Uranus is the great awakener and will shake things up for you. How that looks will very much depend on how you’re living your life and how open to change you are. Those who avoid change may find this aspect unsettling; while those who are open to change may find this to be a welcome breath of fresh air. Either way this signals a time of emotional independence, and the need for space and freedom.

Venus (the ruler of Taurus) is currently retrograde in the opposite sign of Scorpio. This adds another dimension to the full moon by opening up the realm of intimate relationships, business partners, shared finances, joint ventures and goals and merging through sexual encounters and intimacy. Any retrograde period signals a time of reflection and reassessment. The forward moving function of the planet slows down and calls us to go within. During the Venus retrograde the rose-coloured glasses come off and we get to see things as they really are. This may not always be comfortable (there’s that word again) yet of utmost importance if we are to move into dynamics that support the evolution of our soul growth and give us the freedom to be who we really are.

This is a big moon! It will affect us all differently depending upon where it falls in the natal chart and any aspects that are being made to natal planets or angles.

If we can let go of stubbornness and fixed ideas of how things should look, we can move into a more authentic way of being. One that brings inner comfort, security and stability.
Ground yourself by connecting to the energies of the earth and engaging in activities that utilise the physical body. Eat healthy and grounding foods and try to be in the present moment as much as you can.
Taurus reminds of the beauty that is all around us, and that it is more than ok to stop and smell the roses. Simplicity is the key.

Full Moon Blessings from my heart to yours.
