Coming into Balance
‘Skyvibe’ Astrology Forecast for March 2025
By Krishna Dodds.
March appears to be a bit of a “two steps forward, three steps back” kind of month at first glance.
It’s a phase that is dominated by fire and heralds the start of the new astrological year when the sun moves into Aries on the 21st.
Yet the retrograde phases of personal planets Mercury and Venus on the 3rd and 16th respectively, speak of hold ups and the potential need to revisit and reconsider certain situations.
Let’s discuss Venus first. In Aries, she is impatient. She has no time for dilly-dallying and obstacles. She wants to get the object of her desire or wherever she wishes to go via the fastest route.
The retrograde phase forces Venus to re-evaluate her relationships and what she values in life.
This can cause all kinds of conflict. While Venus (especially the Libran aspect), relates to our dynamics with others and considering their wants and needs,
Aries is very much a “me first” kind of vibe that can become irritated when anything or anyone stands in its way.
So with that in mind, know that there may be feelings of restriction and the tendency to make rash and impulsive decisions.
When Venus moves back into Pisces on the 28th of March, we may be taken back to themes that were prominent around the beginning of February.
Pisces can connect us to our subconscious mind and anything that has been hidden. So, having said that, if you can view this time as an opportunity to clear out baggage that is still lingering and directing your behaviour and actions, you may feel a sense of lightness and release by the time Venus switches into direct motion on the 15th of April.
All of the above is helping us to become clear regarding what we want and desire from our relationships. Some connections may come to an end, and some may be strengthened.
The outcome depends on how honest we are being with ourselves and what most aligns with our soul path moving forward.
On the 14th of March, the Full Moon rises at 24 degrees of Virgo accompanied by a lunar eclipse-which is the first in the Virgo/Pisces set.
A lunar eclipse adds to the intensity of the already powerful FM energy, and will turn our attention towards areas that may be causing pressure in some way.
Virgo brings our focus to our every day routines, our work, and where we are in service.
Perhaps this FM will illuminate where there’s an imbalance between our home life and our working life.
Which can also tie into our health and wellbeing.
If we are pouring too much energy into our jobs, volunteering roles, or giving to others in general- chances are that we are neglecting our personal wellbeing in some way.
The lunar eclipse begins a process that can last up to six months. So while you may not let go of something at the exact date of the eclipse; whatever that’s brought to your attention around this time will be a great indicator of the stressors in your life and what you may decide to release or adjust to maintain/ find balance.
Virgo is notorious for worrying and overthinking. If you feel your anxiety levels rising, find an activity that can help you regulate your nervous system such as breathwork, meditation, butterfly hugs or planting your feet on the earth.
The eclipse is opposing Saturn-which means that we may experience some challenging life lessons around this time or be forced to re-evaluate our current circumstances or slow down through an illness or burnout.
The trine to Uranus indicates that a fresh perspective can be the “out” that we need. That perhaps we can take the stress and pressure off ourselves by trying something new.
On the 16th of March, Mercury will begin to back track through the degrees as it begins its retrograde phase in Aries.
Mercury moved into Aries on the 4th of March, yet went straight into the pre-shadow phase of the retrograde period.
So if you felt that the forthright and direct approach of Mercury in Aries had been watered down in some way-you were right.
Mercury retrograde is infamous for miscommunications, misunderstandings, and not being able to articulate properly.
This is incredibly frustrating for Mercury in Aries who likes to think quickly and shoot words out with rapid fire.
The interesting thing about Venus and Mercury retrograde is that they both begin their backwards journey between 9-10 degrees of Aries. Which…is the degree that the Solar Eclipse in Aries takes place later in the month.
This indicates to me that March is a month to reflect upon our relationships and our communication styles and consider how and who we would like to move forward with.
The Sun’s move into Aries on the 21st of March coincides with Autumn Equinox here in the south and Spring Equinox in the north.
Again this indicates taking the initiative to find balance. What do we need to let go of to lighten the load? And what can we take forward and expand upon so that we can walk a soul aligned path?
Big questions, I know. Yet for all intents and purposes, March is asking us to get clear via an honest review of our lives.
The Solar Eclipse will take place at 9 degrees of Aries on the 29th of March, and will prompt us into taking the lead to create something new and push forward with fresh ideas and plans.
The push/pull energy is strong here, because even though we want to venture forward, the retrogrades that I’ve been speaking about indicate that we’re tying up loose ends, trying to look at something with fresh eyes, or give a person or a situation one last go.
This is the last eclipse in the Aries/Libra axis, so there’s a big push to finalise something so that we can start again.
On the the 28th and 31st of March respectively, Venus and Mercury will form a conjunction with the final degrees of Neptune in Pisces.
As I mentioned earlier, this is also the time that the Aries Solar Eclipse takes place.
The end of the month seems to be a catalyst for “aha” moments and change.
I’m getting the sense that something will become apparent to us now. It may feel as if it’s out of the blue, yet if we look more deeply into it we will discover it’s been something that’s been brewing for a while.
Intuition and gut feelings are strong around this time-so listen to them.
Utilise the final degrees of Pisces to get in touch with your inner wisdom before the adventurous and trailblazing Aries lights metaphorical fires out there in the world.
March comes to and end with Neptune making its way into Aries after being in its home sign of Pisces for the past 14 years.
Neptune will spend 7 months in Aries before making its way back into Pisces in October.
Neptune in Aries takes us out of the subconscious and otherworldly energy of Pisces and into the physical realm of creating something tangible in regards to our intuition and spirituality.
Perhaps we feel braver in revealing what we believe in. Perhaps we are prepared to stand up for our beliefs and our spiritual direction.
Or perhaps we may bring all of the intuitive tools and talents that we’ve kept hidden into the light for others to see and benefit from.
It will be interesting to observe how this unfolds personally and collectively-especially as we only get a taste of this new planetary combination for now.
Just one final note before I sign off. Mars (which is the ruler of Aries), won’t clear the shadow of the retrograde phase until the 2nd of May.
Venus will clear the shadow of the retrograde phase on the 17th of May, and Mercury will clear its shadow on the 26th of April.
This means that even though we have a lot of the fire element urging us forward, some of these actions may not feel like they’ve fully come into being until the above dates.
As annoying as this may be for some, it can actually be a blessing in disguise to be given more time to ponder big life decisions and changes before actioning them.
March has a fateful feeling to it. The choices that we contemplate and/or make now can impact us for years to come.
Wishing you clarity and the ability to hear the whispers of your soul.
Cosmic Blessings,
Krishna
