Conscious Creation
‘Skyvibe’ Astrology Forecast for December 2019
By Krishna Dodds
We are now in the final month of this decade. If you feel like the year has been big for you, the following is one of the reasons why.
Although 2019 has been a 3 year in numerology, there has also been tones of the 9 year, which represents endings, tying up loose ends, ridding ourselves of less than savoury behaviours, habits and actions, and revisiting the past to reflect upon what we wish to continue moving forward with, healing old wounds, and making a conscious effort to release anything that no longer supports our well-being.
Astrologically, we’ve had some big times in 2019, and while December continues these themes with lots of planetary movement, the arrival of multiple planets in Capricorn offers a sobering and practical effect that helps us to lay down solid foundations for 2020.
Jupiter moves into Capricorn on December 3rd for approximately 12 months.
Jupiter last moved into the sign of the goat in December 2007, so if you cast your mind back to that point you can gain a sense of what you have been working with over the past 12-year cycle.
As Jupiter in Capricorn turns our attention towards our goals, our achievements and our career, there is a sense that we are being given the opportunity to bring our focus back to what is most important to us in that area.
Have we been able to follow through on our goals, and if not, why? What has worked for us and what hasn’t? And…. what study and learning and experiences have we encountered that can somehow be channelled into a business or profession.
Jupiter can be less optimistic in Capricorn, yet expansion comes through hard work, discipline and focusing on what we would like to bring to life.
As Jupiter in Capricorn highlights working hard and focusing on our ambitions, it is important that we remember to give equal amounts of time to our home life and self-care to maintain a sense of balance.
Mercury moves into Sagittarius on 10th December for a short stay before joining the Sun and Jupiter in Capricorn on December 30th.
Mercury in Sagittarius can help us to expand our minds and seek truth and the meaning of our own life. It is philosophical in nature and will be open to taking in new information and reflecting upon questions about life, the universe and everything beyond. This constant line of enquiry can make our thoughts become scattered, so make sure you take some time out for meditation and relaxation exercises, as they offer the perfect remedy for an over-active mind.
This is a great time to enquire about study or engage in a short course.
Be aware of the Saggy “foot in mouth disease” syndrome. Think before you speak!! Prevention is often times better than cure.
The Moon comes into fullness on December 12th at 19 degrees of Gemini.
This Mercury ruled Moon brings our attention to how we are communicating, the way we think, how we process and understand information, and how we convey that information to others.
As the Full Moon can often bring the hidden to light, this may be a time of receiving news or finding out something that was previously unknown to you.
It can also indicate that a situation is coming to a head and that a conversation needs to take place.
Remember that words hold a lot of power. Speak your truth by all means-yet remember that as Mercury is in fiery Sagittarius-it can be easy to blurt out something that can be hard to come back from.
This Full Moon gives us the perfect opportunity to become aware of how the tone, speed and content of what we are saying can either cause damage or bring healing.
Communication is an art. Take some time to contemplate what your best attributes are and where you may need some improvement.
Serious stuff aside, this can be a great time to get out and enjoy the season festivities, connect with friends and meet new people.
Venus moves into zany Aquarius on December 21st, increasing our desire to hang out with friends and be social. Venus in the sign of the Waterbearer is a little unconventional, so we may be drawn to eccentric and unusual types of interactions.
Whether they be people or experiences, engaging outside of the spaces that we usually find ourselves in, can expand our minds and open us up to new ways of connecting.
Venus poses the question of “what do I value”, and in Aquarius we may find that we have original and unique ideas that not only help us move towards our own future, yet also help others out along the way.
This is a humanitarian placement, so don’t be surprised if you feel drawn to offering your time to a cause that you are passionate about.
Venus in Aquarius is quite independent, so you may feel rebellious if anyone places too many demands on your time, or goddess forbid, tries to gain some sort of commitment from you.
Wait until Venus is in Pisces if you’re looking for more sentimental and romantic interactions.
The Sun moves into Capricorn on December 23rd and is quickly followed by the New Moon/Solar Eclipse in the same on the 26th.
This is a perfect time to think about what structures you would like to lay down for the upcoming year.
The Solar Eclipse brings its own level of intensity, so you may find that whatever arises for you around this time is increased tenfold.
As the Eclipse is making an opposition to the North Node in Cancer, you may find that issues around the home and family need to be attended to. Jupiter forming a conjunction to the Eclipse (and an opposition to the NN) does have the ability to blow things out of proportion and may bring situations to a head. Perfect timing for Christmas get-togethers!!
Once the dust settles, we will see that it may be time to rethink or adjust our approach toward certain situations and people and move forward with less emotion and more practicality.
The New Moon will turn our focus toward our working life and how we can engage in a career that is fulfilling and rewarding.
If you are a fan of working with the energies of the Moon, this is a great time to write down your hopes, dreams and desires, and perhaps light a candle and speak your intentions out loud to the universe.
Remember, Capricorn is all about focus, working hard to make your dreams come to fruition, taking responsibility for yourself, having the persistence and determination to reach your goals, and to be the authority in your own life.
The arrival of Mercury in Capricorn on December 30th seals the deal by bringing an abundance of common sense and the mental stamina to achieve what you put your mind to.
A pretty great start to 2020, wouldn’t you say!!
On that note, don’t just focus on the year ahead. Focus on the next 12 years and what you can create throughout this next Jupiter cycle. Think about what you’re bringing into being and how it will support you now and into the future. Make sure that the foundations you are laying are strong and are a reflection of where you want to go, who you want to be, and allow room for expansion and growth as you evolve and change.
Many Blessings.
