Expect the Unexpected
‘Skyvibe’ Astrology Forecast for August 2021
By Krishna Dodds.
August opens with Jupiter having just moved from emotion centred Pisces, into the very logical sign of Aquarius-at the anaretic degree of 29, no less. This can represent a crisis point of sorts. One that has strong links to the first week of May this year. If you cast your mind back to that time and the themes that were prominent, you may gain insight into what needs to shift, change, or come to an end in August.
Jupiter is often known as the lucky or benefic planet in astrology.
One of Jupiter’s keywords is expansion. What this means is that Jupiter can expand(make bigger) anything positive..and, anything that we’ve been avoiding.
Think of a blister that is so full of liquid, that it has no choice but to pop when it has rubbed against the back of a shoe one too many times.
Be prepared to understand that your capacity to “hold” may well reach its capacity in the first week of August.
This is not to be feared though.See it as an opportunity for a breakthrough and a chance to reconnect to your innermost truth once the debris has cleared.
Aquarius is the way-shower and truth teller of the zodiac, and will offer solutions and healing in the most unexpected of ways.
We are given a second chance to release and gain insights, when the Full Moon rises at the same degree on August 22nd, just four days after Uranus (the ruler of Aquarius) begins its retrograde period.
The New Moon in Leo on the 8th August, injects a little sass into our step.
This is when we can start taking ownership for how magnificent we are, and shine our light for the world to see.
The New Moon in Leo can stimulate our creativity and our desire to have fun.
The Lion reminds us to have pride in ourselves and to have the courage to roar if need be. The message of this New Moon is “don’t hide your light under a bushel.”
The wide Saturn aspect to the Moon may make the lion seem more like a kitty, yet can also give us structure and practicality around our New Moon wishes. The square from Uranus can bring unexpected developments.
Mercury moves into its own sign of Virgo on the 12th, gifting us with focus, attention to detail, and the ability to think practically.
You may start to have ideas about your health and wellbeing, and how you can implement wellness into your life on a daily level.
Mecury here can run into trouble through over thinking and worrying. A solution to this is to engage in practices that quieten the mind, and provide the space for external expression…such as journalling, or talking things through with a trusted friend.
Venus moves into her own sign on the 17th; encouraging harmonious interactions and an emphasis on creating peace within our most intimate of connections.
Venus feels super comfortable in Libra, and will inspire us to seek out and enjoy the company of others, while also engaging in fulfilling social activities.
On August 18th, Uranus the ruler of Aquarius, begins its 5 month backward journey in the sign of Taurus.
The very basic meaning of this is that the forward motion of madness and mayhem will be redirected.
Instead of Uranus bringing new disruptions and possibe unsettling events, our attention is turned toward events/issues of the past, and giving loose ends a do-over!
As Uranus has been in a somewhat challenging dance off with Saturn since the beginning of the year, the themes experienced will very much be old paradigms vs new paradigms. We cannot move forward and embrace the new if we are firmly entrenched in the past.
The Full Moon rising @29 degrees of Aquarius on August 22nd, will further illuminate the themes I’ve spoken about relating to Jupiter and Uranus.
Again, the 29 degree crisis point is prominent, signifying that it’s time to detach, get some space, or let go of a situation/friendship completely.
The Full Moon in Aquarius can be somewhat paradoxical, as it gives us the ability to be objective to the point of losing the Moon’s gifts of emotion and insight.
At the time of this Full Moon, it would serve us well to make a conscious effort to feel into our heart space and make decisions that come from both head and heart.
On August 23rd, the Sun moves in Virgo and bestows us with the ability to become productive on a physical level. Virgo is the great organiser of the zodiac, and inspires culling, cleaning and tidying. A great time for a spring refresh!
Ideas that were had around health and wellbeing when Mercury moved into Virgo earlier in the month, can now be implemented practically. Hello new wellness and movement program!
Mercury’s move into Libra on August 30th brings a desire for diplomatic communication, the ability to negotiate, and to be fair and just in the way we converse with those around us.
Just be mindful of compromising your own thoughts and ideas for the sake of others.
We have a huge month ahead of us. One that will allow for great change if we allow it.
August offers us a great opportunity to tap into who we really are. To honour our uniqueness, and our right to freedom and independence-both on a personal and collective level.
It may sound a tad clichèd to say expect the unexpected-yet that is exactly the kind of energy that Aquarius brings.
Situations may unfold in ways that are completely different to how we envisioned them.
Yet may be exactly what we need.
The function of Uranus is to shake up stagnation and liberate us from anything that is stopping our evolution and growth as humans.
The combination of Aquarius and Virgo will help us to birth sudden flashes of inspiration into something solid and practical on the physical plane.
Virgo can give Aquarius structure and focus, while Aquarius can help Virgo let go of perfectionism and embrace the flow of life.
Both of these energies can be quite heady, so it’s important that we attend to overwrought nervous systems with nurturing food, a decent amount of sleep and exercise, and grounding our energy by connecting to the earth and spending in time in nature.
Journey well, listen to your body, stay in your own lane, and look after your tender hearts.
